The Confederate Flag a Christian Symbol?

The Confederate Flag is a controversial issue, and worthy of debate, but I’m not loving the posts I see going around claiming that it is a symbol of Christianity. I’m not a proponent of erasing history, but I’m also not a proponent of writing new history to justify the elevation of things we might hold dear for nastalgic reasons.
